I could get an ideal Air (8/8, 512GB, 16GB) for around a same price as a less ideal Pro (8/8, 256GB, 16GB). however on downloading i get a message to download java as well so that scilab could work. (LoL shouldn't even be a big factor in any consideration, just an example) Problem download scilab for my mac (OS X Yosemite version10.10). I care about the fan - do I need it? What do you think? Eventually I did install W10 alongside a fresh Ubuntu install (joined the Linux world) where now I spend most of my time on my dual-boot system.
